Missions – CVZ’s Worldly Guidance & Worship

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

MATTHEW 28:19-20

Missions are here to provide opportunities & resources so our folks @ CVZ can share in the MISSION to share God’s love near and far. This includes prayer support encouraged by sharing the prayer requests of missionaries Gloria S. (ministering to retired missionaries in Florida), Joe & Wendy T. (sharing the Good News of Jesus in open-air ministry), Brian & Missy W. (serving at a boarding school for missionary kids so that their parents can share Jesus’ love in Africa), and others who have shared at CVZ.

And Making Missions Tangible (providing ways for our folks to participate with others in the spread of God’s love in tangible ways).

Some events Missions helps to serve include:

  • Partnering with Operation Christmas Child, which enables children worldwide to experience God’s love through gift-filled shoeboxes and hearing the message of Jesus.  This includes packing shoeboxes and supplying items for boxes.
  • Work crews from the congregation serving at Camp Hebron.
  • Serving through Camp Hebron’s 1614 Mission or our own outreach activities.
  • Vacation Bible School Mission Info to the children and Mission-Minded Kids activities.

Missions meets periodically throughout the year following 2nd worship service. These are announced prior to the date of the meeting and all who are interested are encouraged to attend.
